Scientific Programs.
The program of the Federal Agency of the
State Reservoirs is named "The research of the possibility
of long-term storage of food products in the conditions of
permafrost and determination of their possible serviceable
life".
The preamble of the program, developed by
the Scientific Institute of the storage problems, states:
"This program is a logical continuation of the earlier
adopted program "Research of the possibilities of long-term
storage of food products in the conditions of permafrost at
the Taymyr peninsular", confirmed on July 18, 1974, and
it takes into account the recent scientific-technical level
in the sphere of long-tern storage of food products. The program
can be of very high State importance , as its main objective
is realization of thorough scientific research with the purpose
to determine a possibility of creation of the State strategic
reserve of food products under the conditions of permafrost,
which are typical for the large areas of Russia".
The leader of the program is V.I.Gusmanov,
Secretary of State, Deputy of the Leader of the Federal Agency
of the State Reservoirs.
The title of the Program of the Academy
of Agricultural Sciences is: "Organization of research
of physical-chemical and organoleptic indicators of the quality
of food stuffs being under long-term storage and unregulated
negative temperatures in the conditions of permafrost".
Seven scientific Institutes of the Russian
Academy of Science participate in realization of this program;
E.I. Sizenko, vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences
is the Scientific Leader of the program.
