A flight to the glacier is
impossible due to bad weather conditions. The start is
postponed. Free time is used for sorting food stuffs and
training. |
April 5, 2000

The
expedition was greeted by V. Sudarenkov, the governor
of the Kaluzhskaia oblast, by A. Surikov, the Head of
the Administration of the Altaiski krai. The expedition
arrived in the Ammassalik settlement (Greenland), where
we found out that the Danish Polar Center did not send
the official permission for our expedition. We received
the permission on the next day. We organized several training
sessions in the vicinity of the settlement. |

The team took an Aeroflot flight
from Moscow to Copenhagen. After making a transfer in
Copenhagen, the team arrived in Reykjavik the next day.
The participants of the expedition spent several days
in the capital of Iceland, purchasing main foodstuffs
for the expedition and some equipment items. |

a transfer of the dates of the expedition till spring
